Athletx Sports Group is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media & Photography Contractor to join our team for the Baseball Youth - All-American Games. This is a temporary, event-specific role from July 23 - 26, 2026, based in Houston, TX The successful candidate will be responsible for capturing the energy of the event through compelling visual content and an engaging social media presence, enhancing the participant experience and promoting the tournament.
Compensation: $140/day
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a daily social media content strategy across relevant platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, X) to drive engagement and real-time tournament coverage.
- Capture high-quality photos and videos of on-field games, opening and closing ceremonies, skills competitions, and fan engagement activities.
- Edit, organize, and upload all visual content in accordance with established workflows and posting schedules.
- Create engaging content for social media posts, stories, and on-site signage as needed.
- Write compelling, brand-aligned copy that highlights tournament action, key moments, and participant stories.
- Monitor social media channels and actively engage with the tournament community.
- Collaborate with on-site event staff to identify key stories, athletes, and moments to feature.
- Ensure all content adheres to Athletx Sports Group and Baseball Youth brand guidelines.
- Assist with basic video editing and formatting for short-form social media content.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation, preferably within sports, events, or live environments.
- Proficiency with and access to graphic design tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite, Canva), with a strong working knowledge of Adobe Lightroom for photo editing and optimization; presets will be provided to ensure brand consistency.
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively use HubSpot for content posting, reporting, and communication.
- Strong photography and videography skills, with access to appropriate equipment (e.g., DSLR or mirrorless camera, lenses, tripods).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear, engaging, and brand-aligned social copy.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, on-site event environment while following written guidelines and direction.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including file management and content delivery workflows.
- Flexibility to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, during tournament dates.
- Knowledge of youth baseball and/or softball is a plus.

This event will take place Tuesday, July 23, through Friday, July 26, at Scrap Yard Sports in Houston, TX. The tournament will feature Team Check-In, Opening Ceremonies, Team Practice, and skills competitions, followed by a day of pool play and culminating in championship games. Teams will compete across elite synthetic turf facilities, delivering a high-quality championship experience for players, coaches, and families.
